Subsonic Eiffel Wind Tunnel @ ADCL
Restoration, instrumentation, and documentation of the open-circuit Eiffel-type wind tunnel in the Aeronautics, Dynamics and Controls Laboratory at UC Irvine. Active work threads include an automated pitching mechanism for test models, a dark enclosure around the test section for smoke flow visualization, and a full software replacement (PySide6 + nidaqmx + pymodbus) for the legacy AeroWare VFD control path. Documentation is published as two searchable web books — an Operating & Contributor Manual and an Operator SOP — each with a companion PDF.
